On Jeremy Camp’s eighth full-length studio release, Wreckless, the man delivers an album full of heartfelt passion and love of a higher power. Camp has thrown himself into his music, giving his all and the product is one that contains meaningful lyrics, faith and devotion. What’s even more meaningful is that Camp is known to make much of his music personal, as is very evident by his two big hits from his first album, “Walk by Faith” and “I Still Believe.” Reckless is no different. The album shows a spiritual maturity and cohesiveness through each track that catches and engages you through prayer and reflection.

The album’s opener, “Reckless,” pulls you in immediately to the world of praise and worship, as Camp effortlessly pours out his faith, wearing his religious heart on his sleeve he has provided words of uplifting love and grace, sometimes in the face of personal tragedy. He also brings his lyrics to life with his vocals. What I love about Camp’s albums, Reckless included, is that he has an incredible knack with words and describing passion, faith and love.

Standouts include the title track, “Paradise,” “We Must Remember,” “Shine,” and “Without You.” Reckless is a must-have album for all Camp fans, whether you are just discovering his work or you have been a fan from the beginning. –Jennifer Sobek
