A new generation of rockers become fans of The Cult. Fans of British rockers, The Cult have enjoyed this no-nonsense, straight-up rock and roll band since the mid-80’s.  The love the fact that The Cult is more about the music and less than all the gimmicks, particularly when it comes to their live shows.  Now this crowd, now mostly in their mid-40’s are taking their children to Cult shows and introducing them to old-school rock.  A new generation of Cult fans is emerging.

The band most recently played in front of a sold out crowd at The Revolution in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.  Several parents were asked why they were taking their young children to see The Cult and the consensus was unanimous: Steve Wilson of Coral Springs explained, “I want my children to see what a real rock band is like, not the commercial stuff that’s mostly out today.  It’s all about the music, and most of today’s performers have forgotten that important aspect.  They care more about the big stage, elaborate light shows, pyrotechnics, and big money.  The Cult is down-to-earth and passionate about their music.  Their shows are intimate with the fans.”

It’s refreshing to see the values that are instilled in today’s youth from their parents.  All too often kids get lost in the hype of bigger, louder shows and forget that musicians are there to mainly do one thing: play music. -Christopher Zambello
