With April upon us that means one thing – Wanee Festival is almost here! This year will mark the 11th anniversary of the festival held at The Spirit of Suwanee Music Park located in Live Oak Florida.

Started in 2005 with just 11 acts, the event has grown over the years to include bands like such as Robert Randolf and the Family Band, Railroad Earth, The Doobie Brothers and Widespread Panic just to name a few with the Allman Brothers playing closing sets on Friday and Saturday evenings. Fans travel in droves to Live Oak from as far away as Vermont and California for this event with an attendance no less than 25,000 people.

Pre-sale tickets always sell out in record time with packages that include camping on the grounds Thursday till Sunday with music all day Friday and Saturday and an array of vendors and galleries in between the stages.

We here at SFL have been long-time supporters of this incredible festival and love to see what our on-site photographer/reporter sends us. This year will once again see the return of Gov’t Mule, Widespread Panic playing sets on both Friday and Saturday night, GreggAllman, Cheap Trick, Earth Wind and Fire, Hot Tea, Galactic, Jacob Jeffries, South Florida Favs Crazy Fingers, Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes and a slew more.
