With April upon us that means one thing – Wanee Festival is almost here! This year will mark the 10th anniversary of the festival held at The Spirit of Suwanee Music Park located in Live Oak Florida.

Started in 2005 with just 11 acts, the event has grown over the years to include bands like such as Robert Randolf and the Family Band, Railroad Earth, The Doobie Brothers and Widespread Panic just to name a few with the Allman Brothers playing closing sets on Friday and Saturday evenings. Fans travel in droves to Live Oak from as far away as Vermont and California for this event with an attendance no less than 25,000 people.

Pre-sale tickets that go on sale in late December and always sell out in record time , tickets run $205 with fees and include camping on the grounds Thursday till Sunday with music all day Friday and Saturday and an array of vendors and galleries in between the stages.
We here at SFL have been long-time supporters of this incredible festival and love to see what our on-site photographer/reporter sends us. This year will once again see the return of Gov’t Mule, Tedeschi Trucks, Umphrey’s McGhee, and of course The Allman Brothers Band.

Wanee virgins include New Jerseys Blues Traveler and Jacksonville’s own Lynard Skynard, as well as Ziggy Marley ,Cope, and more. For more information on the Wanee festival set your browser to http://www.waneefestival.com
